Course Memo

This course will focus on pharmacologic agents commonly used in health and illness. Emphasis will be on the use of the nursing process to safely administer medications to clients of all ages. Discussions will include regulations regarding medication use, roles of the healthcare team, and the ethical and legal role of the nurse. Learning activities will enhance the student’s ability to provide client teaching for the promotion of health. This non-clinical course will support the application of concepts in clinical courses. Prerequisite: NSG 111, BIO 210, BIO 220. Credit: 2 hours. Fall, Spring.
