Course Memo

This course will focus on preparing students for clinical practice with adult and geriatric populations. Through case scenarios, students will learn how to assess the impact of common conditions on performance skills and participation in occupations, and plan best practice intervention strategies appropriate for the setting and context. Implications of relevant legislation mandates, referrals, use of technology and splinting, and emerging trends in healthcare will be explored. Pre-requisites: BIO 520, BIO 530, BIO 540, OCT 520, OCT 650. Co-requisites: OCT 640, OCT 670. Credit: 4 hours. This course is offered in a hybrid format.
