Course Memo

In this course students will gain the knowledge of typical pediatric development, as well as pediatric medical conditions and their impact on development relative to the practice of occupational therapy. The laws governing rehabilitation and the settings in which occupational therapy services are provided will be explored. Theoretical frames of reference for occupational therapy assessment and intervention strategies as they apply to common pediatric conditions will be introduced. Pre-requisites: OTA 130, OTA 140, & OTA 145. Credit: 3 hours
