Course Memo

Pathophysiology provides a systems approach to disease processes. The course begins with an introduction to fundamental concepts of pathophysiology and a review of cell biology. Normal body system function is considered with a more detailed discussion of disease processes most relevant to healthcare across the lifespan. The discussion of disease processes will include etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, pathogenesis, and current research. Prerequisites: Enrollment in a bachelor completion program. Credit: 3 hours.
